Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Washington, DC 20032

Contract Length: 8 Weeks

Schedule: 3×12-Hour Mid Shifts

Pay Range: $71.00 – $80.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast‑paced, high‑acuity Emergency Department. This unit treats a full spectrum of patients, including urgent care cases, pediatrics, psychiatric patients, and critical care/trauma cases.

ER nurses in this department are expected to manage advanced critical care interventions such as:

Medication titrations

Arterial line management

Massive blood transfusion protocols

Chest tube care

The RN will deliver and coordinate care for patients with complex needs while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and patient experience.

Requirements

Active RN License in the state/district of practice

BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC

ER Nursing Experience: Minimum 1 year

Education: Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program

Key Responsibilities

Provide rapid assessment, intervention, and stabilization for patients with emergent conditions

Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress

Perform and assist with complex procedures and critical care interventions

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high‑quality care

Support an efficient, compassionate patient flow in a demanding environment
