• 36 hours per week

Unit Overview:

H5 patients - Advanced heart failure, VADS (ventricular assist device), arrythmias, status post procedure and any cardiac diagnosis.

This department is a great department to help a nurse with a future plan of working in ICU but not quite ready to go into an ICU setting.

In this department you will get to work with progressive drips.

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse in our unit, you will provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. You will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring that patients and their families receive the support and education they need. Your role is critical in communicating with the healthcare team and finding solutions to meet patient goals. The majority of our patients are Advanced Heart Failure patients, Heart Transplants, patients with Ventricular Assist Device (VADs), CADs, valvular heart disease, s/p TAVRs, pacemakers, etc.

What You Will Do

• Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families.
• Communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.
• Participate in finding and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.

What You Will Need

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Hospital/ telemetry experience preferred

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
