As a Per Diem RN representing Newport Hospice, you are the face of our clinical excellence. In strict adherence to CMS Conditions of Participation, every visit (SOC, Recertification, and Routine/PRN) is a full clinical encounter requiring:

Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all documentation meets LCD (Local Coverage Determination) guidelines and California state hospice regulations.
Legal & Ethics (For SOC): Facilitating the signing of consents and providing a thorough Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to patients and families.
Clinical Communication: Direct contact with MDs for initial and ongoing orders, symptom management, and seamless coordination with the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG).
Documentation: Timely and precise submission of charting. We prioritize "documenting as you go" to ensure promptness and accuracy.
Visit Expectations
We believe in quality over speed. A typical Start of Care (SOC) visit with Newport Hospice involves:

1.5 Hours: Dedicated to the comprehensive Plan of Care (POC) charting and coordination.
