• ICU RN
• 100 MILE RADIUS RULE
• 12hr - weekend, holiday and call required
• Nights
• 13 weeks
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current critical care experience preferred.
• Must have a current RN license.
• Traveler must have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment. New travelers will not be considered.
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, ability to provide quality patient care and ability to assess patient's needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.
• Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts or move patients in a safe manner.
• Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate.
• May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills required.
• Current NYS RN license.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required.
• PALS preferred.
• Coronary care course or successful completion of challenge exam within orientation period.
• Basic lethal dysrhythmia within six months of employment
• NIHSS certification within the first 6 months of employment.
• Previous Samaritan employees have to be gone at least 2 years and be eligible for rehire to be considered. (Contact facility for inquires)
