    Travel Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg RN) Location: Washington, DC 20032 Contract Length: 8 Weeks Schedule: 3 × 12-Hour Night Shifts Pay Range: $62.00 – $72.00 per hour

    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced acute care inpatient unit. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while utilizing strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills across a diverse patient population.

    The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative hospital environment. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, interpreting clinical data, implementing care plans, and ensuring care is delivered in accordance with professional nursing standards and hospital policies.

    Requirements

    Licensure & Certifications

    Active Registered Nurse License – District of Columbia

    BLS (Basic Life Support)

    ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

    NIHSS Certification

    Experience

    Minimum 2 years of RN experience

    At least 1 year of Med-Tele acute care inpatient experience

    Cerner EMR experience required

    Education

    Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program

    Additional Requirement

    Telemetry Rhythm Interpretation Test must be completed prior to start

    Key Responsibilities

    Deliver safe, competent, and compassionate nursing care

    Perform and document comprehensive initial and ongoing patient assessments

    Complete admission assessments within facility-defined timeframes

    Provide age-appropriate care based on knowledge of human growth and development

    Analyze clinical data to determine patient care needs

    Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans

    Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

    Administer and monitor treatments appropriate to patient diagnoses

    Support and educate patients and families with professionalism and empathy
