Position Overview

The hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate should have previous acute care and operating room experience, with the ability to work closely with surgeons and the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients before surgical procedures and verify their readiness for surgery.

• Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, and necessary equipment.

• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures.

• Maintain a sterile environment and follow infection prevention protocols.

• Monitor patients' conditions throughout surgical procedures.

• Provide appropriate patient care during pre-operative and post-operative phases.

• Document nursing interventions and patient outcomes.

• Coordinate with anesthesia providers and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience; 2 years preferred.

• Previous Operating Room experience preferred.

• Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and infection control.

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a surgical team.
