REGISTERED NURSE – PEDIACTRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
Job Title: RN – PICU
Rate: Up to $2450.00 weekly
Location: Worcester, MA
Day / Night Rotating Shift (12H)
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
Experience
- Two (2) years PICU experience required.
Licenses/Certifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- AHA BLS certification required.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents requiring intensive monitoring and treatment.
- Perform ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care according to established standards.
- Manage high-acuity patients, including ventilated, post-operative, trauma, and medically complex cases.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately.
- Respond promptly to rapid changes in patient condition; utilize critical thinking in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other team members to coordinate care.
- Educate and support patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and care expectations.
- Document all patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and adhere to all infection control protocols.
- Participate in unit-based initiatives, quality improvement projects, and professional development activities.
- Ability to adapt to rotating shifts (Day/Night rotation) and collaborate in a team-driven environment
