Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse at Physician's Surgery Center of Chattanooga, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our patients' surgical experience. You will work closely with our surgical team to provide high-quality care, support, and education to patients and their families throughout their surgical journey.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and triage patients upon arrival to the surgery center.
- Administer pre-operative medications and ensure patient readiness for surgery.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or concerns during surgery.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures and maintain a sterile field.
- Provide post-operative care, monitor recovery, and manage pain control.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative instructions and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and fellow healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure infection control protocols and safety standards are followed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills
- Current Tennessee RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a surgical or perioperative setting preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
