R.S.M.C. Services, on behalf of our client, is seeking a RN Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care for a 13-week night shift assignment in a Level I trauma facility. This role requires strong clinical experience in ICU, cardiac care, and acute care settings, with the ability to float between units as needed. The RN will provide high-quality care to neonates through young adults with complex cardiac, medical, surgical, and trauma conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver evidence-based nursing care in a high-acuity PCICU/PICU/Acute Care environment.
Float as needed to PICU, PCICU, and Acute Care units based on facility needs.
Care for pediatric patients (ages newborn to 21 years) with cardiac, medical, surgical, and trauma diagnoses.
Work in a 128-bed facility, providing care in units with:
ICU Ratios: 1:1–1:2
Acute Care Ratios: 1:4
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe and efficient patient care.
Document using EPIC electronic health records.
Participate in required weekend and holiday rotations.
Schedule & Expectations
Shift: 12H Nights, 7 PM–7 AM
Unit: 12B Acute Care & floating to ICU/PCICU
Orientation: Every Monday
Weekends: Required 2 out of every 3 weekends in each 6-week schedule (Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun)
Holidays: Must work 2 winter and 2 summer holidays
Call: None required
Floating: Required between PICU, PCICU, and Acute Care
Required Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level I trauma facility.
Prior travel nursing experience required.
Recent experience (within last 2 years) in:
ICU
Cardiac care
Acute care
Comfortable floating to multiple pediatric units.
Certifications:
BLS (American Heart Association)
PALS
EMR Experience: Must have EPIC proficiency.
