Perioperative and Clinical Nurse – Plastic Surgery Clinic

Location: Omaha, NE Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an ambitious and energetic nurse to join our busy Plastic Surgery team at a new, modern, private practice in Omaha, NE. This position offers a dynamic work environment with responsibilities spanning the clinic, operating room (OR), perioperative and recovery areas, and occasional administrative support. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional patient care.

Ideal Candidate:

2+ years prerioperative experience

Personable and ability to keep polished and professional attitude

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

Provide patient education and counseling before and after surgical procedures.

Prepare patients for surgery, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.

Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including monitoring recovery, administering medications, and assessing patient progress.

Respond to patient calls and provide appropriate medical advice or escalate concerns as necessary.

Administrative Duties:

Assist with scheduling patient appointments

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Assist with ordering and stocking medical supplies for the clinic and operating room.

Occasionally assist with patient billing or insurance-related tasks.

Qualifications:

Current nursing license in the state of Nebraska.

BLS/ACLS certification.

Previous experience in surgical or ambulatory care.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
