Position Overview

CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care at a federal correctional institution in Cumberland, Maryland. FCI Cumberland is a medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp in western Maryland, approximately 2.5 hours west of Baltimore. You will deliver patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, and emergency nursing response for the incarcerated population.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments, triage sick call requests, and implement treatment plans
• Administer medications including controlled substances with accurate documentation
• Perform wound care, phlebotomy, IV therapy, and point-of-care testing
• Monitor patients on chronic care protocols
• Respond to medical emergencies
• Conduct intake health screenings and TB testing
• Coordinate care between providers and consultants
• Maintain documentation in BOP electronic health record

Required Qualifications

• ADN or BSN
• Active, unrestricted Maryland RN license (or ability to obtain)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience
• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to pass federal background investigation

Preferred Qualifications

• Correctional nursing or ED experience
• BSN preferred
• CCHP certification

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $72,000 - $93,000 annually
