    Position Overview

    CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care at a federal correctional institution in Oxford, Wisconsin. FCI Oxford is a medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp in rural central Wisconsin. You will deliver patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, chronic disease management support, and emergency nursing response for the incarcerated population.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct nursing assessments, triage sick call requests, and implement treatment plans
    • Administer medications including controlled substances with accurate documentation
    • Perform wound care, phlebotomy, IV therapy, and point-of-care testing
    • Monitor patients on chronic care protocols including insulin-dependent diabetes and anticoagulation therapy
    • Respond to medical emergencies and provide BLS/ACLS-level nursing care
    • Conduct intake health screenings and tuberculosis testing
    • Coordinate care between physicians, mid-level providers, and specialty consultants
    • Maintain documentation in the BOP electronic health record

    Required Qualifications

    • ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program
    • Active, unrestricted Wisconsin RN license (or ability to obtain)
    • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
    • Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience
    • U.S. citizenship required
    • Ability to pass federal background investigation

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Correctional nursing or emergency department experience
    • BSN or higher preferred
    • CCHP certification

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
