    Job Description:

    Join the dynamic team at the Surgical Stepdown Unit (SSDU), located at a tertiary care hospital with 528 staffed beds. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the PCU, you will work in a 24-bed unit providing care for both intermediate care and unit-based patients. The unit primarily manages surgical, neuro/neurosurgical, and trauma patients who require a higher level of care than a regular unit, but not full ICU support.

    This unit specializes in vascular surgery step-down care for patients who have undergone procedures such as carotid endarterectomy, fem-pop bypass grafts, amputations, and other related surgeries. Additionally, it serves as overflow for the MSDU and handles ventilator/high respiratory need patients.

    Rotation Schedule:

    • Typical rotation is 2 weeks of day shifts and 2 weeks of night shifts. There will be no alternating day and night shifts within the same week.
    • First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
    • Travel pairs must be flexible with different shift schedules.
    • Nurses can work either 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts based on availability.
    • Every other weekend (EOW) is required.
