Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to

Provide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric, behavioral health, and medical needs.

Assess and monitor patients’ physical, emotional, and behavioral conditions.

Administer medications and treatments as ordered.

Document patient care accurately and timely.

Respond appropriately to medical and behavioral emergencies.

Utilize therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques.

Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and patient confidentiality requirements.

Provide clinical guidance and supervision to assigned nursing support staff, as appropriate.

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Maryland RN license

Valid Driver's License

Current CPR Certification

Current Immunization Records

Current Health Physical Examination

Psychiatric, behavioral health, hospital, acute care, or related nursing experience preferred

Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills

Ability to meet all facility credentialing and background requirements

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

Standing and walking for extended periods.

Providing direct patient care and responding to patient needs.

Responding promptly to medical, psychiatric, and behavioral emergencies.

Working in a secure psychiatric or behavioral health environment.

Safely performing assigned duties in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
