JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse is responsible for case management of assigned patients in accordance with Right at Home's policies and procedures and all other applicable procedure manuals, laws and relevant professional standards.
Please Note: Some clients may smoke or have pets, so ensure you are comfortable with this before applying.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Travel to patients’ homes to provide medical and personal care
Administer medicine and set up
Inspect wounds and change dressings
Assist with personal grooming and hygiene tasks
Test for things like infection, weakness, and bedsores
Collaborate with Physicians to create personalized healthcare plans
Help educate other caregivers and family members on how to care for the patient
Monitor patients and keep their treating physician in the loop
Catheter and ostomy managment
assess vital signs
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one year of clinical experience within the past five years or completion of an accredited refresher course within the past two years
Current State RN license.
Knowledge and ability to provide skilled nursing care as defined in the State Nurse Practice Act.
Current CPR certification.
Available for work on weekends and holidays as require
Meets current health requirements to provide patient care.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job.
IV Infusion experience a plus.
Possess a working cell phone and the ability to respond to the office.
SHIFT
Part-Time: 15-25 hours per week
Must be able to travel within a 45 mile radius of Sioux Falls. Company Vehicle provided if needed or option to drive your own vehicle with mileage reimbursement option. $.70/per mile.
Occasional holiday and PRN Saturday shifts if needed.
