    UROLOGY RN

    Job Title: RN – Urology

    Rate: Up to $2100.00 weekly

    Location: Atlanta, GA

    Day (8H)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in performing diagnostic tests and procedures such as cystoscopies, urodynamic tests, and prostate biopsies, ensuring patient comfort and compliance with protocols.
    • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing urological surgeries, including patient education on recovery processes and wound care.
    • Administer medications prescribed by the urologist, including intravenous, oral, and intramuscular medications, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
    • Manage catheter care for patients, including insertion, removal, and teaching patients and their families about home catheter care to prevent infections.
    • Offer support and education to patients dealing with chronic urological conditions such as urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and interstitial cystitis, including lifestyle advice and coping strategies.
    • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex urological needs.
    • Perform routine urological health maintenance checks, such as bladder scans and urine tests, to monitor potential issues or changes in condition.
    • Engage in research activities related to urology nursing to contribute to the development of best practices and innovative patient care techniques.

    Education

    • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

    Experience

    • Prefer a minimum of two (2) year experience within specialty.
    • Comfortable placing / removing catheters.
    • Med/Surg experience acceptable
    • Urology experience preferred.

    Licenses/Certifications

    • Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
