  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Nurse to join a busy ambulatory surgery center specializing in interventional pain procedures. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after interventional pain procedures.
    • Prepare patients for procedures, including assessment, verification, education, and documentation.
    • Monitor vital signs and patient status throughout the perioperative experience.
    • Assist with circulating, recovery, and other clinical duties as assigned within the ASC setting.
    • Support procedure room turnover, patient flow, and coordination with providers and clinical staff.
    • Administer medications and IV therapy in accordance with scope of practice, policies, and provider orders.
    • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the medical record.
    • Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards to support a clean and efficient environment.
    • Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when necessary.
    • Contribute to a positive patient experience through clear communication and compassionate care.

    Qualifications

    • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
    • Experience in an ambulatory surgery center, procedural area, PACU, or perioperative setting preferred.
    • Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical team members.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard clinical documentation practices.
    • Current CPR certification required; additional certifications may be preferred based on facility needs.

    Preferred Attributes

    • Experience with interventional pain procedures or other outpatient procedural specialties.
    • Knowledge of sterile technique, patient preparation, and recovery workflows.
    • Ability to remain calm, flexible, and attentive during busy clinical days.
    • Strong commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional accountability.
