To provide excellence in nursing care to our residents in collaboration with other healthcare team members. To ensure safety and promote independence when appropriate in a retirement setting.

Job Summary the job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee the care of residents and all the components of that care.
• Provide medical treatments as ordered.
• Responds to immediate family member concerns regarding resident care.
• Administers medications in a safe and effective manner, responsible for monthly medication administration records.
• Daily and monthly recaps of resident orders.
• Participates in the initial and subsequent updating of care requirements for each resident, including working with DON to determine the level of care.
• Able to collaborate with health care professionals via phone or tele-med.
• Records each medication delivery from Pharmacy during the shift and ensures accuracy.
• Communicates with physicians, and other professional service providers, regarding resident care issues and the scheduling of appointments and transportation.
• Oversee the Nursing Assistants.
• Responds to any immediate need or emergency in the building according to policy and clinical judgement.
• Able to develop and implement care plans and update as needed.

Primary Requirements:

• Must possess an RN license.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Must have been licensed in the BPOA PA Licensing System.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Experience in long-term care.
