    Are you passionate about animal health, skilled in veterinary care, and eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization? This role is a cornerstone of our clinical operations—supporting surgical and wellness services, shelter animal health, and providing compassionate patient care from intake to discharge. As a key team member, you will help ensure every animal we treat receives safe, appropriate, and quality care.

    What You’ll Do :

    Surgery & Wellness Care

    Triage patients and communicate concerns to the veterinarian

    Provide hands-on medical care throughout surgical & wellness procedures

    Assist veterinarians during surgery and wellness exams

    Maintain drug logs, databases, and accurate patient records

    Administer vaccines, tests, medications, and treatments

    Maintain clean, sterile workspaces and appropriate medical inventory

    Shelter Medicine & Animal Wellness

    Monitor overall health of shelter & foster animals

    Administer appropriate treatments and medical care

    Maintain accurate medical records

    Maintain a safe, healthy, properly supplied shelter environment

    Ensure adoption-ready animals are fully vaccinated, sterilized, and microchipped

    Stay informed on current animal welfare practices

    What You Bring

    Education & Qualifications

    Indiana RVT license

    Commitment to ongoing professional development and CE

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to stand or sit for 8+ hours

    Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs

    Good fine motor skills, vision, hearing, balance, and mobility

    Ability to kneel, bend, climb, and navigate tight spaces

    Ability to work in varying environmental temperatures
