Job description:

PetSmart Veterinary Services, an independent and veterinarian-owned clinic proudly supported by the PetSmart brand, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team in Palm Springs, CA. As an RVT at PetSmart Veterinary Services, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding medical care and support to our clients and their beloved pets. Working closely with our veterinary team, you will contribute to creating a positive and nurturing environment for both clients and staff.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform essential veterinary nursing duties, including but not limited to:

• Assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgeries.

• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Conducting diagnostic tests and collecting samples.

2. Utilize your expertise to ensure the well-being of pets and the satisfaction of their owners.

3. Collaborate with the veterinary team to maintain a high standard of patient care.

4. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and providing clear communication about treatment plans.

5. Educate clients on preventive care and promote the overall health and wellness of pets.

Requirements:

1. Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital.
3. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
4. Proven customer service ability with a minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service roles.
5. Flexibility and willingness to perform various job duties within the hospital.
6. Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
7. Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a dynamic veterinary practice.
8. A strong understanding of veterinary preventive care.
9. Comfortable providing client education on pet health and wellness.
