    Rootstown Veterinary Hospital is a high-quality, privately owned, three-doctor small animal practice seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Technician with a surgical focus to join our team.

    As an RVT at Rootstown Vet Hospital, you'll work closely with our veterinarians and fellow team members, utilizing your technical skills in a wide variety of cases.     Your Role in the Hospital

    As an RVT, you will work alongside our team, taking ownership of appointment and surgical flow, patient safety, and supporting our Doctors.

    Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures

    Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and dental procedures

    Collect and process laboratory samples

    Perform radiology and diagnostic imaging

    Administer medications and treatments as directed

    Hospitalize and monitor patients

    Educate clients on medications, treatments, and preventive care

    Maintain accurate medical records

    Prepare and maintain equipment and treatment areas

    Work collaboratively to provide exceptional patient and client care

    Who You Are

    You hold an active RVT license in the state of Ohio.

    Associate degree in Veterinary Technology.

    You have a strong clinical background comfortable in veterinary anesthesia and surgical care.

    You are organized, attentive to detail, and calm under pressure.

    Excellent communication and client education skills.

    Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    Dependable, positive, and team-oriented attitude.

    You bring a positive, collaborative energy to the team and care deeply about maintaining high standards of medical care.

    Schedule & Perks

    Schedule: Full-time or Part-time options available, up to 30 - 34 hours per week, with rotating Saturdays. No late nights or emergency hours.

    Pay: Competitive hourly wage ($21 - $24 range) based on experience.
