    USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is seeking a motivated Registration Specialist to join our team. We have 6 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, GI, ENT, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day. ****

    Job Summary: The Registration Specialist interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff. Admit patients and process their paperwork. Update patient demographics/information in system. Collect monies due and document in billing system. Handle funds per office procedure. You have the opportunity to meet new people and build professional relationships with physician offices. Cross training for other Business Office positions a possibility.

    Required Skills

    Qualifications:

    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • 1-3 years' experience in a medical setting such as a hospital, physician's office, or surgery center required
    • Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
    • Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
    • Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial*Good communication skills.
