Job Summary
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant as a Rehabilitation Director to join our team! As our Rehabilitation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the rehabilitation experts working within your department, including handling the scheduling of staff, hiring and training new employees, and mentoring existing staff. You will also create and deliver reports on the status of patients and rehabilitation successes, review and update procedures and processes or implement new processes following established best practices. The ideal candidate has previous experience in both management and rehabilitation, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, and truly enjoys helping others live their best lives.
Responsibilities
Train, and supervise rehabilitation staff
Handle staff schedules and caseloads
Create reports on the department and its effectiveness, and present these reports to management and other stakeholders
Audit existing processes, and implement new processes to provide the best care possible
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Patient care in both Home Health and Outpatient setting at an upscale Assisted Living Community in Mansfield Ohio
Management tasks such as retrieving documents for new cases, calling families and physicians, great communication with staff at the building and within the therapy department
Complete a 30-minute exercise class each day for the residents on site
Complete a monthly weight and vital clinic to help meet building standard and needs
On site in person 5 days a week, 32-40 hours a week is Full time
Qualifications
Previous experience with rehabilitation as a Physical Therapist Assistant
Previous management experience desired but not a must
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills a must
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, caring attitude towards all patients
