Position Overview:

The Physical Therapy Technician plays a critical role in supporting patient care and clinic efficiency in a fast-paced, high-volume outpatient orthopedic practice. This position ensures smooth patient flow, assists with therapeutic exercise programs, and helps maintain an organized and professional clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support

Assist Physical Therapists, Occupation Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, and Occupational Therapy Assistants with supervising therapeutic exercise programs

Guide multiple patients through prescribed exercises while ensuring safety and proper technique

Prepare treatment areas quickly and efficiently between patients

Clean and sanitize equipment promptly to maintain patient flow

Set up and break down modalities under therapist supervision (in accordance with state regulations)

Monitor gym floor activity and communicate patient needs or concerns to therapists immediately

Patient Flow & Efficiency

Help maintain timely treatment schedules in a high-volume environment

Proactively anticipate therapist needs during busy periods

Keep equipment organized and readily accessible

Support front desk staff during peak times as needed

Patient Experience

Greet patients and create a positive, high-energy clinic atmosphere

Provide motivation and accountability during exercise sessions

Reinforce consistency and adherence to therapy programs
