Reichwage Winery is a cider and wine producer located South-West of the town of Sebastopol. We have one of the few remaining historic apple orchards in Sebastopol, and our estate orchard and vineyard are farmed completely organically. We also grow and produce 90+ year old Zinfandel, and Carignane from Mancini Ranch in Santa Rosa. Our spacious, new 12,000 square foot facility is designed for practicality, durability, and sustainability in mind. We are seeking an apprentice to work directly with the winemaker. On-site housing can be provided (studio with one bathroom). This is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience at a small estate winery and work with Burgundian varieties as well as old vine field blends. Approximate start and end date of apprenticeship will be end of August through mid November, but there is flexibility in these dates. - Grape sampling, cluster thinning - Winery and equipment sanitation - Grape crushing and sorting - Pump-overs and punch-downs - Pressing (grapes and apples) - Barrel prep and filling - Potential for future work after harvest Qualifications: Prior cellar experience preferred but not required Bachelor's degree Valid driver's license
