    Reports To: Clinic Lead/ Head ATC

    FLSA: Non-Exempt/Hourly

    Rejuv Medical is seeking an Athletic Trainer to work in our clinic as a physician extender as well as working outreach events for local sports teams of various levels. This person will work in conjunction with the Head ATC/ Clinic Lead to assure coverage of all sporting events through various sports seasons as well as assisting physicians in the office during clinic hours. For off-site sporting events, the ATC will be supervised remotely by staffed clinicians and will be available to provide guidance for on-site coverage as needed.

    Exhibit stellar customer service and professionalism to both internal/external clients through active listening and speaking skills

    Ability to reason and apply your knowledge gained through schooling and 1st hand experiences to deal with problems involving player injuries and interpersonal relationships surrounding a team environment.

    Has an understanding of standard First and and EMS equipment including but not limited to AED and orthopedic splint systems and is able to provides emergency or other appropriate medical care to participants with signs/symptoms of physical distress.*

    Conducts an initial assessment of an athlete's injury or illness to provide emergency or continued care and to determine whether they should be referred to physicians for definitive diagnosis and treatment.*

    Evaluates athletes' readiness to play and provide participation clearances when necessary and warranted.*

    Applies protective or injury preventive devices including tape, bandages or braces, to various body parts. *

    Assesses and reports the progress of recovering athletes to coaches or Physicians.*

    Collaborates with Physicians to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries.*

    Cares for athletic injuries, using physical therapy equipment, techniques or medication.*

    Performs general administrative tasks including keeping records or writing reports.*

    Advises athletes on the proper use of equipment.*

    Develops training programs or routines designed to improve athletic performance.*

    Inspects playing fields to locate items that could injure players.*

    Instructs coaches, athletes, parents, medical personnel or community members in the care and prevention of athletic injuries.*

    Ability to communicate effectively with coaching staff on a daily basis of the health status of players.*

    Creates a unique workout that is in line with the ability and expectations of the client.*

    Exceptional documentation & communication of athlete care and recommendations given to assure fluid care to athletes between all sports medicine staff.

    Exceptional Attendance and punctuality*

    Ability to maintain a professional relationship with the players/coaches on and off the field.*

    Other duties & special projects as assigned

    ATC may be asked to travel with a team occasionally.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college in Athletic Training

    Master's degree in Athletic Training- preferred

    Registered/Licensed Athletic Trainer- MN Board of Medical Practice- required or ability to obtain

    Certified Athletic Trainer- Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer- required

    CPR certification – required or ability to obtain

    Dress Code:

    Dress pants or khakis with Rejuv Medical polo shirt for outreach events (an appropriate mid-length short is permitted for outdoor events when seasonally appropriate). Must dress appropriately for the weather. Tennis shoes or closed toed sandals only.

    Hours:

    As communicated with varying hours and shift times as seasons and activities dictate. May include morning’s, mid-day & evenings.
