Summary: Rejuv Medical is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced non-surgical orthopedic physician, preferable fellowship trained in Sports Medicine or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. An ideal candidate must be board certified and have at least 2 years of experience. There is great need in the areas for additional non-surgical specialists, and a new physician will enjoy working in a healthy environment supported by innovative medicine, have room to growth and be supported by a documentation scribe and care team.
Sports Medicine and PMR physicians are specially trained to diagnose and treat chronic/acute injuries for active and everyday living individuals. Approximately 90 percent of all injuries are non-surgical in nature.
Responsibilities:
Primarily focused on clinical diagnosis, treatments of various orthopedic conditions.
Acute injuries such as ankle sprains, joint injuries, dislocations and non-surgical fractures
Overuse injuries including stress fractures, tendonitis and osteoarthritis
Traumatic brain injuries or concussions
Helping athletes with acute illnesses
Nutrition
Exercise prescriptions for people who want to become more active
Injury prevention
Chronic pain
“Return to play” decisions for injured or ill athletes
Pre-participation physical examinations
The ideal candidate will have training:
Musculoskeletal medicine to include non-surgical interventional techniques, MSK Ultrasound and/or Fluoroscopic experience preferred.Requirements include state of Minnesota medical licensure and board eligibility/board certification in Non-Surgical Sports Medicine.
