    Rejuv Medical is seeking a Radiologic Technologist OR Certified Medical Assistant/LPN who possess the limited scope X-Ray Operator certification obtained prior to 2008 to work in our Non-Surgical Orthopedic clinic. This position will work primarily with providers rooming patients and assisting in minor procedures as well as performing x-rays and assisting in Fluoroscopic procedures.

    Summary: Perform fluoroscopy and X-rays for diagnostic purposes (limited scope x-ray obtained after 2008 does not qualify)

    Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Document the procedures in an EMR system

    Follow established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.

    Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed.

    Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during scan.

    Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.

    Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination.

    Take x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.

    Serve as a back-up for clinical team members as needed.

    Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.

    Interviews patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight and height; documents in EMR

    Assist with patient visits and procedures

    Authorizes drug refills and provides prescription information to pharmacies via provider orders.

    Explains treatment procedures, medications, diets, Physicians' instructions and supplement recommendations to patients.

    Collects blood, urine, or other laboratory specimens, logs the specimens and prepares them for testing.

    Continues education and personal growth to maintain all registrations, licensures, and certifications

    Work Environment:

    Environmentally controlled medical office environment

    Fast paced environment with occasional high pressure or emergent situations

    Exposure to radiation which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective lead aprons, gloves and other shielding devices and monitored by radiation badges

    Possible exposure to bodily fluids, infectious specimens, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a medical office environment

    Frequent interaction with a diverse population including team members, providers, patients, insurance companies and other members of the public Physical Demands:

    Frequent standing, walking, grasping, carrying, reaching, bending, stooping and speaking

    Occasional sitting

    Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, with assistance if needed

    Qualifications:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must have passed the x-ray certification prior to January 1, 2008 that allows them to assist in Fluoroscopic procedures as well as obtain common skeletal x-rays.

    Education/Experience:

    Education and Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent required

    Associate degree or higher in related medical field.

    Currently maintained x-ray operator certification obtained prior to 2008.

    Experience working with C-Arm/Fluoroscopy

    Certificates and Licenses:

    Current State License-Radiology Technologist

    Current MN A.A.S. or Diploma LPN or

    Current MN CMA Certification

    Current CPR and AED certificate

    Equipment:

    General Office Equipment including computer/keyboard/mouse/fax/copier

    C-Arm

    X-ray
