    The New Washington State Bank is looking for a talented Relationship Development Manager to add to our retail team. This position will expand our customer base in our target market while fostering current customer relationships. The Relationship Development Manager will perform outside calling on existing customers and prospects. This position will also be responsible for the overall performance of the branches in our Jeffersonville Market and will direct staff to effectively meet our performance standards.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Generate new business through outside calling and continually pursuing additional opportunities.

    Continually take the pulse of clients through informal telephone conversations, lunch meetings industry events, and community events.

    Lead branch(es) to achieve financial and service goals set by management.

    Identify the financial needs of current and new customers and cross-sell additional services such as loans, treasury services, investments, etc.

    Deliver quality customer service by providing timely and proper responses to all reasonable customer request and communicating any delays.

    Fulfill consumer lending needs including HELOCs, mortgages, as well as small business deals.

    Support and direct their Office Manager(s) to ensure that staff perform their job duties in a safe compliant manner taking all reasonable precautions.

    Ensure that all branch personnel understand the overall company objectives as well as their individual office performance goals and what they can do to help reach these goals. Be available to help coach and answer questions.

    Excellent customer service skills as this position will be the face of the bank to customers, prospects, and the community as a whole.

    Ability to call on current and prospective customers and effectively sell/highlight the bank’s products and services

    Desire to work with the public, focusing on meeting customer needs.

    Ability to communicate with customers, internal employees and vendors on a daily basis through face-to-face, telephone, written and email interactions.

    Familiar with banking rules and regulations.

    Ability to work in a team environment, interacting well, and in a positive manner, with coworkers and senior management.

    Understand and maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding all aspects of The New Washington State Bank.

    Ability to take initiative and utilize sound judgment in decision-making and diplomacy and tact in problem resolution weighing customer satisfaction issues with Bank exposure to loss or fraud.

    Education and Experience

    Bachelor’s degree is preferred

    High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

    Prior banking experience required

    Prior management experience is preferred
