    Job Description

    Relatus is looking for an experienced Full-Stack Front End Engineer to join our Product Development organization to support and extend a Laravel/Vue.js web application and additional microservices based on the core application. Successful candidates will have a minimum of three years of professional application development experience and possess all of the skills and attributes listed below.

    Your primary responsibilities will be to develop the framework application logic and implement the front-end user interface. This role will work with the development lead to design, implement and code the database and application architecture, and a UI/UX designer to define and design the application user flows and logic.

    What You'll Do:

    • Build the customer-facing UI and necessary back-end services for data management, administration and reporting
    • Code, test and manage Vue.js based applications
    • Work closely with a data model built on a PostgresSQL database
    • Write reusable, testable, clean and well-documented code
    • Create and manage database schemas that represent and support business processes
    • Write robust unit tests and validating code with available tools
    • Work with 3rd party services like Zapier to integrate external and back office application data into the web application
    • Work as part of a team developing applications and services using Agile development methods
    • Participate in the team's processes and collaboration platforms
    • Contribute proactively to process and solution improvements

    Skills:

    At least three years of experience with:

    • Writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript based on current UI standards and best practices (HTML5, CSS3 and ES6)
    • PHP >=7.x with Laravel framework experience preferred
    • Sound understanding of database design and change management
    • Vue.js front-end framework and addons
    • Integrating 3rd party services and APIs
    • Familiar with CSS preprocessor tools and associated languages, syntaxes and libraries
    • Experienced with the Google Cloud Platform services
    • Experience implementing testing platforms and writing comprehensive unit tests
    • Proficiency with Github
    • Experience with production code branching and release management

    Requirements:

    • Strong proficiency with JavaScript or CoffeeScript
    • Strong knowledge of Vue.js and Laravel frameworks preferred
    • Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services preferred
    • Strong knowledge of SQL and database synchronization and optimization techniques
    • Strong understanding of application concepts and third-party API service integration
    • Good understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, Bootstrap and CSS3
    • Good understanding of user accessibility principles and data privacy compliance
    • Good understanding of UX optimization for delivery platforms, such as mobile versus desktop, and optimizing output for the user platform
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Take pride in producing error-free code
    • Strong knowledge in Oriented Object Programming
    • Good experience with Linux is a plus
