ABOUT THE POSITION As a part of our continued growth, we are seeking passionate, energetic mortgage professionals to join our elite team. The Remote Loan Officer is responsible for selling valuable financial solutions. From the first contact, our LOs build rapport with their clients in order to evaluate their needs and subsequently present them with the most efficient resolutions. It is through the connectivity with clients that our LOs find the greatest overall success; therefore, interpersonal skills are highly regarded. We value independent growth and encourage all of our LOs to regularly evaluate both their personal and professional development while we provide a team of leaders, movers and shakers, and overall knowledgeable colleagues for support when needed. Our LOs will be connected with lead vendors and will have the opportunity to purchase leads in order to maximize their earning potential. They are responsible for ensuring clean loan applications are taken, gathering initial documents from the client and submitting preliminary, paperless, loan packages. From there, our experienced processors take over the final steps allowing our LOs to focus on new originations. Mortgage Loan Officer Responsibilities: * Expected to develop referral sources for purchase and refinance mortgages from realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts. * Meet with customers to determine their needs and recommend the right loan products to help meet their goals. * Maintain an active knowledge base of all the organization's loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required of each applicant. * Identify and recommend products that meet the customer's needs and the organization's lending guidelines. * Review active loan files each day to determine if any documents are missing or what can be done to help the process along. * Utilize professional judgement to determine which potential borrowers represent good risk opportunities for the organization. Mortgage Loan Officer Requirements: * High school diploma required (Bachelor's degree preferred). * 2+ years residential mortgage sales experience. * Documented closed production success in residential purchase/refinance mortgage loans. * Current NMLS. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Proficient in Office Microsoft products and preferably Encompass. * Works well in remote environment as well as part of a team * Able to multitask with excellent follow through * Competitive and coachable in a fast-paced environment * Flexible and adaptable to change * Strong sense of urgency to initiate and complete tasks * Ambitious professional who is motivated by opportunity for advancement * Authorized to work in the US * Proven track record of success converting mortgage leads (preferred) Company Description Reliable Mortgage Company is a newly founded mortgage origination company with seasoned staff ready to help you.
