  • Responsibilities

    InterMetro Industries is seeking a Master Scheduler for our Manufacturing Facility in Wilkes-Barre, PA.  The Master Scheduler balances demand (customer orders, sales forecasts and interplant shipments) and supply (capacity planning) to hit targeted inventory levels to exceed customer expectations; analyzes product demands and inventory levels to determine reorder levels and safety stocks that will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs; and  coordinates with production planners/buyers to ensure inventory management and procurement activities support the production plan.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    1. Maintains finished good inventory at target to ensure high service levels.
    2. Prepares master schedule to create sequence and lead times in order to meet required dates, according to internal and external orders or sales forecast.
    3. Ensures coordination with production planners to execute production plan on weekly/ monthly basis.
    4. Monitors actual output versus the production plan.  Identifies gaps and drives solutions on performance compared to actual output.
    5. Performs analysis on system and forecasts each month, highlighting areas of concern.
    6. Provides accurate delivery dates on internal and external sales orders.
    7. Identifies release requisitions and makes changes as necessary.
    8. Reviews material shortages, stock outs, safety stock levels, and minimum /maximum quantities to meet customer requirements and proposes changes when necessary.
    9. Collaborates with IT to analyze & create enhanced functionality in planning applications. 
    10. Creates and monitors monthly KPI Reports.
    11. Establishes material movement from manufacturing to distribution and/or distribution to distribution, ensuring high levels of customer service with the lowest overall cost; provides appropriate and achievable delivery dates based on manufacturing/transportation lead times.
    12. Other duties as assigned.

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

    1. High school diploma required
    2. A minimum three years of relevant experience, including with MRP/ERP Systems
    3. Knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures, including supply and demand planning and replenishment processes
    4. Excellent mathematical, communication and problem solving skills
    5. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 
    6. Proven project management skills 
    7. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Requires sitting most of the time and occasional walking.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management, Business or related field 
    2. APICS certification

  • Qualifications
    • High School/Technical School Graduate
    • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and perform repairs
    • Ability to read English to read maintenance work orders, schematic drawings/blueprints and maintenance/safety manuals
    • Ability to comprehend electrical-mechanical& hydraulic systems, HVAC and plumbing systems
    • Knowledge of electricity (110, 230 and 460 voltage)
    • Experience of operating an overhead crane, forklift, hand tools and common shop machinery
    • Demonstrated ability to perform electronic, mechanical and hydraulic repairs

    Certifications/Licenses:

    • Valid OSHA Forklift, Overhead Crane and Aerial Work Platform Certificates
