Local Missions Residency Details

Position Summary

The Local Missions Resident will work with the Sending Department to implement the church's vision for strategic engagement in the Great Commission through the mobilization of men and women at TVC.

Job Responsibilities

• Mobilize at weekend services and events to engage the congregation in local outreach
• Provide logistical support for Local Missions, including assisting in executing community outreach events
• Train members in neighborhood evangelism strategies
• Support benevolence/mercy initiatives, including intake interviews and assessments and researching community resources
• Recruit and equip leaders to support Local Missions
• Active involvement in the life of TVC, including staff meetings and events

Qualifications and Requirements

• Agree with The Village Church's Expectations of Membership and Statement of Faith and commit to exhibiting a lifestyle that is consistent with the same.

• High school diploma required

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• Experience in missions preferred

• Passionate about local missions, community service, and outreach

• Proficient in administration

• Ability to work within the context of a team

• Flexible and adaptable

• Desire to develop in communication skills, including public speaking, writing, and attentive listening
