Location: Washington, DC

Scheduled Shift:

3*12s | 36 hours varied shift with 5 call shifts per 8 weeks

Duties:

• Monitor post-operative patients' levels of recovery and consciousness from anesthesia and provide updates to the medical team as needed. • Obtain and record patients' vital signs. • Observe patients for signs of side effects of anesthesia medication. • Treat pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia and administer medication as prescribed. • Update charting (EMR), patient files, and medical records. • Educate patients and their families on post-surgery care and answer any questions.

Skills:

PALS, NIHSS, BLS & ACLS – Required, CPAN - highly desirable

DC License Required

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district - Required

PACU Experience - Required: 3 Years
