Position: Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse Location: Gainesville, FL

Job Description: As a Medical/Surgical RN at Trident Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan in collaboration with patients, their families, and the healthcare team. This position holds the key responsibility for ensuring positive patient and departmental outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients

Manage efficient flow of patient care, including screening, exam preparation, providing general nursing care, and coordinating admissions, testing, and discharges

Maintain and review patients’ records, including posting test and examination results

Administer medications in accordance with physician orders

Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans

Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher required

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice, or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license

Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification required

Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience
