Job Description
RemX is partnered with a client in the Midlothian, VA area to find an IT Security Analyst to join their team. This is a 40 hour/week contract to hire position with benefits.
IT Security Analyst Responsibilities:
- Safeguard information system assets and protect systems
- Recognize problems, identify abnormalities, report violations
- Implement security improvements, determine security violations, conduct audits
- Upgrade system, implement and maintain security controls
- Prepare performance reports, communicate status of system
- Maintain and implement security, identity, and access systems
- Ensure compliance with PCI level one, CCPA, GPDR
IT Security Analyst Requirements:
- System administration, network security, information security policies, firewall administration, network protocols, routers/hubs/switches.
- Problem solving, on-call network troubleshooting, informing others, process improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related
- 2+ years of prior relevant experience
- Certifications: SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP or CASP and/or SIEM
- Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth
- Experience handling high volumes of logs, network data
- Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions
- Experience with DOD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management program
- Proficiency in Anti-Virus, HIPS, ID/PS, Full Packet Capture, Host-Based Forensics, Network Forensics, and RSA Security
- Knowledge of architecture, engineering, and operations of enterprise SIEM platforms (Manage Engine)
- Experience developing and deploying signatures
