Remedy is changing healthcare. We bring on-demand urgent care by a board-certified medical provider to your home either in person or via video visits. Simply pull out your phone, request a doc, and we come to you. We also offer a small but expanding clinical presence throughout Austin. 

We are looking for a Backend Python Developer who will assist us with design and development of the next evolution of our platform including API design and development and third party systems integration. 

You should be confident and self-motivated in building high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design.

This is a 6 month contract position with the potential for a full-time hire. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Organize full lifecycle software development
• Prepare specifications and determine operational feasibility
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes and metrics
• Provide support and consulting on software systems usage
• Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards

Requirements:

• 3+ years' experience of working in a Software Developer position
• Significant experience in developing API middleware using Python
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• Experience with containerization concepts and technologies
• Experience in documenting requirements and specifications
• Familiarity with software engineering tools, software development methodology and release processes
• Experience with PHP a plus
• Experience in the healthcare space a plus
