    Job Title: Process Engineer - Glass & Compression Molding (Direct Hire)

    Job Type: Full Time / Permanent / Direct Hire

    Location: Rochester, NY

    Pay: $70K-$80K

    Essential job duties for this role will include:

    • Working with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to create a stable and sustained molding process for the manufacture of quality products.
    • Troubleshoot existing processes to maintain or improve quality parts. Evaluates process capability and develop solutions for improving process control.
    • Work closely with supervisors and operators to improve product flow, improve quality, and reduce scrap.
    • Review new projects to determine effectiveness of design regarding moldability, tool concept, and material required.
    • Provides engineering support and input to departments within company.
    • Leads development of processes and mold necessary for production.
    • Develop and implement strategies to continuously improve molding efficiency by reducing cycle times, improved tooling, and machine uptime in the molding area
    • Support ERP and process monitoring processes and software including ISO documentation and cross-functional team participation supporting company

    We’re looking for Process Engineers with the following background profile/skillset:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent in education and experience.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in optics industry
    • Sound knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria
    • ISO experience a plus.
    • Must be familiar with computers and computer software.
