This Sr. Plant Engineer is responsible for managing the installation, procurement and technical servicing of all equipment, buildings, and capital projects necessary for the continuity of the manufacturing operations. Below are more great details for your consideration!

    Salary: Up to $120k annually, may be flexible for that "rock star" candidate!

    Principal accountabilities for this Sr. Plant Engineer role will include the following:

    • Coordinates the cost-effective installation of new equipment as well as the modification of existing equipment.
    • Provides technical (engineering) support required to increase production and maintenance efficiencies.
    • Direct the activities to design, develop, test and qualify new products from a production viewpoint.
    • Initiate, develop and implement value-added projects to reduce costs and enhance productivity. 
    • Continuously assess existing manufacturing processes, practices, equipment and automation and implement improvements to enhance manufacturing operations through integration of new machinery/equipment (i.e. robotics, automation, CNC machinery, and PLC's).
    • Establish the plant’s CAPEX project list annually and coordinate appropriation request processing.
    • Cultivate and maintain a productive working relationship with the plant’s Facilities Maintenance function, Corporate Design Engineering and Plant Operations to ensure effective collaboration and commercialization of new products.

    We're actively looking to identify strong Sr. Plant Engineers with the following background profile:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, ME or MET preferred); Master’s degree in advanced manufacturing, engineering or business highly desirable.
    • 10+ years of comprehensive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, with prior CNC machining or forging experience required.
    • Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts, principles and philosophies; prior experience supporting ISO/IATF Quality Systems.
    • Excellent understanding of the capital expenditures (CAPEX) and expense budgeting processes.
    • Working knowledge of strategic & operational planning and project management in a lead role.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience, including the development of a team-oriented culture.
    • Working knowledge of PLC controls, robotics and automation systems.
    • Thorough understanding of environmental and safety compliance requirements.
    • Proficient with PCs and Microsoft applications and various engineering software.
