Internally known as a Aftermarket Field Service Engineering Technician, this person will be responsible for leading and performing onsite commissioning and acceptance of capital equipment at customer facilities.     Pay: Will depend upon skillset/experience but client is targeting $30-40/hour

    Here is what you will be responsible for as their Aftermarket Field Service Engineering Technician:

    • Leads and performs the commissioning and acceptance of equipment at customer facilities
    • Participates in pre-commission meetings with customers and the commissioning team and provides input to commissioning plans and schedules
    • Coordinates onsite activities of equipment supplier, customer personnel to assure timely completion of tasks
    • Optimizes machine performance and troubleshoots issues to optimize the performance of machines and rectify safety, design and functionality discrepancies
    • Train customer operators on proper machine operation
    • Provides marked up drawings (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic) to the lead engineers for updating and archiving
    • Supports installation of equipment when required
    • Performs Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure finished equipment conforms to all safety, mechanical, electrical, software, designs, and customer specifications
    • Provides customers technical assistance in troubleshooting and servicing of equipment onsite and remotely; provides written service reports
    • Provide feedback to manuals group on non-standard equipment set-up procedures
    • Recommends changes to current engineering and quality standards to improve overall product performance and eliminate future issues

    We're looking for a Aftermarket Field Service Engineering Technician with the following background profile:

    • HS Diploma required; Associate's degree or certification in Electronics, Engineering Technology or Electro-Mechanical from an accredited technical/vocational school preferred
    • At least 2-4 years of prior experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
    • Exceptional electrical/mechanical knowledge and strong aptitude to troubleshoot/diagnose/resolve problem
    • Reads and understands mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
    • Experience working with and troubleshooting Rockwell and/or Siemens PLC Ladder Logic
    • Advanced knowledge of electrical safety best practices, electrical applications and drive systems
    • Experience using quality tools and Lean methodologies
    • Must have, or have the ability to possess a valid passport and a willingness and ability to travel domestically and to foreign countries. Time spent at customers’ plants may approach 60% of work requirements.
