    Remedy Professional Services is currently aiding in a search for a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer.

     

    Our client is a start-up advanced manufacturing facility in the Cincinnati area.

     

    *Must be a US citizen or permanent resident. Visa statuses are not eligible. (ITAR-registered)

    *Relocation assistance is available.

     

    This Manufacturing Engineer will have a hands-on role in establishing a new advanced machining center for a company that’s been in business for 65 years. This is a growth position in a growing company; future responsibilities will include interviewing and overseeing training and management of new hires.

     

    Additional responsibilities:

    · Lead engineering and technical support for the installation, debug and setup of automated equipment and tooling on new processes.

    · Identify, select and negotiate new milling and turning equipment for the shop as needed

    · Quote pricing and lead times for product

    · Manage assigned projects and develop structured approaches to achieve milestones, report variances, quote and lead new projects (including hands-on setups), etc.

    · Lead efforts in process improvement initiatives to increase productivity.

    · Occasionally travels to customer and I or vendor sites and helps build positive relationships. Also meets with customers to:

    o Develop I sell new ideas

    o Establishes and communicates metrics to achieve established standards

    o Develop variations on new products

    · Troubleshoot production problems with respect to machine tools, programming and fixture design to overcome technical, maintenance, material or scheduling problems.

    Requirements:

    · Minimum 10 years’ experience in a machine shop or similar environment.

    · Programming 4-5axis mills, with emphasis on Horizontal milling experience a must. (Mitsubishi 400MM)

    · Detailed knowledge and experience in SPC and GD&T.

    · Extensive experience using CAD/CAM programs; Mastercam X software preferred.

    · Demonstrated project management experience.

    · ISO 9000 experience/knowledge. ITAR and AS9100 experience a plus.

    · Knowledge of Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls preferred.

    · Experience with quoting complex turn-key Aerospace, Medical and Optics parts and assemblies.

    · Experience identifying and quoting new equipment based on technology advancements and customer needs

    · Experience troubleshooting setups and machining issues.

     

    This position will pay $80-100K, and include ESOP, quarterly profit share, etc.
