    Job Title: Production / Facilities Mechanic I (Direct Hire)

    Job Type: Full Time / Permanent / Direct Hire

    Location: Syracuse, NY

    Pay: $25-28/hour

    Benefits: Package included

    Essential job duties for this role will include:

    • Maintain all facilities systems and production equipment in a reliable and safe operating condition through preventative maintenance.
    • Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using troubleshooting skills, hand tool and diagnostic tools to locate the cause and correct the issue.
    • Provide reliable equipment performance through preventative maintenance, coordinate downtime with production departments, trouble shoot and repair.
    • Participate in plant shut down activities to ensure all activities are accomplished.
    • Work with internal and external entities to complete repairs and improvements on plant facilities, systems, machines and equipment.
    • Work with outside contractors and follow up on contracts as needed.
    • Willing to participate in on call as necessary
    • Willing to work on alternate shift / days to coordinate with management as needed.
    • Knowledge of: building facilities and equipment / production line maintenance / HVAC / diagrams / drawings / blueprints / documents / mathematics
    • Excellent Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting skills.

    We’re looking for a Field Service Technician with the following background profile/skillset:

    • Minimum 3-5 years Facilities / Production Maintenance Mechanic experience.
    • Completion of a Trade School, Training or Technical College program preferred, but not mandatory.
    • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, all aspects of equipment mechanical and electrical.
    • Must work well on your own or with a team. Self-motivation is key!
    • Organized and able to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
    • Able to communicate to both clients and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Good written and verbal; communication skills.
    • Ability to lift 50+ # on a non- continuous basis.
