    Remedy is thrilled to be working with a customer- and quality-focused logistics organization who has an urgent need for a Logistics Customer Service Rep who will specifically be responsible for tracking and tracing shipments throughout the life of the delivery cycle and maintaining up-to-the minute status on all shipments.. Here are some important details:

    Job Type: Full-time/Direct Hire

    Pay: $18-22/hour (plus a shift differential), depending upon experience

    Hours: 3pm - 11:30pm Tuesday - Saturday

      Essential functions for the Logistics Customer Service Rep include:

      • Checks on shipment status with airlines and truckers (via on-line tracking tools or through telephone contact)
      • Upon determining shipments are not moving to accommodate service level requested, determines most cost effective, service level focused routing and book accordingly
      • Work closely with international agents in a constant effort to ensure items are pre-cleared and proof of deliveries and charges have been faxed
      • Assists in answering all inbound calls and answering customer inquiries

      The Logistics Customer Service Rep we're looking for will possess the following background profile:

      • High school degree or equivalent required, college degree preferred
      • Prior experience in freight forwarding and/or transportation required
      • Knowledge of military shipping requirements preferred
      • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel required; additional exposure to shipping/TMS software preferred
      • Must have superb analytical, time management and multi-tasking skills
