This position will provide assistance as needed to the Mold Maker in various duties relating to tools, equipment and machines.

Job Title: Tool Maker (Direct Hire)

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent / Direct Hire

Location: Syracuse NY

Shift: 2nd or 3rd shift (2:45pm-11:15pm or 10:45pm-7:15am)

Shift differential .50 for 2nd shift and .90 for 3rd shift

40 hour work week

Pay: $18-32/hour DOE**

Essential job duties for this role will include:

• Perform all tool room work as needed for in-house mold maintenance
• Duties include: Coordinating and scheduling mold maintenance, including shipping of molds
• Cleaning and inspecting molds for production
• Repairing injection mold, including purchasing of component parts
• Participation in production planning and process including: consulting with supervisors and mold technicians
• Attending production meetings
• Setting up molds for production
• Maintain inventory and document all tool room supplies, mold supplies, fixtures and related parts.
• Attend meetings and work with quality control and engineering departments to resolve molding problems

We’re looking for a Injection Mold Tool Maker with the following background profile/skillset:

• Two (2) Years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Journeyman Toolmaker papers with injection and blow mold experience
• Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electronics repairs
• Problem solving and solid computer experience required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Equivalent education and/or experience will be considered
