Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer (Direct Hire)

Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire / Full Time

Location: Rochester, NY

The Job Duties:

• Design Automation, tooling, fixtures and gaging as working leader of the team
• Work with the concepts provided by the applications team
• Perform initial and ongoing design reviews with the mechanical design team
• Identify process deficiencies and develop solutions to improve those deficiencies
• Review drawings from junior team members for accuracy, provide feedback
• Develop mechanical cost estimates for proposals when required
• Present concepts to Customers when Required
• Travel to Customers site, if required

Requirements:

• 10 years’ experience designing assembly and test automation to customer supplied requirements
• Must have experience working in an automation manufacturer
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• 4+ years’ experience in an engineering leadership role
• US Citizen or valid green card
• Automation experience in medical or life sciences fields preferred
• Robotic cells experience preferred
• 8+ years’ mechanical project lead experience preferred

Pay: $90-110K
