Remedy is seeking candidates with plastic injection molding experience for our client’s Process Technician opportunities. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with great benefits! The ideal candidate will display strong troubleshooting skills and be willing to cover any shift as needed. This would be a great step-up for an experienced Mold Setter!
Responsibilities
- Complete all setup, teardown, and changeovers
- Monitor production schedule, prepare for tools, material changes, etc. for upcoming runs
- Ensure proper team communication for maximum quality and efficiency
- Ensure all checklists and paperwork (electronic and/or hardcopy) are complete with each new startup, adjustment, etc.
- Inspect machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure proper function and safety
- Operate advanced equipment and auxiliaries, cameras, eDart, ALS, etc.
- Complete mold samples as needed
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of processing and machinery capabilities for effective troubleshooting skills
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary technical training, preferred
- Prior experience or education in injection molding or plastics industry (strongly desired)
- Clearly and effectively communicates in English (verbal and written)
- Works well independently (self-motivated), as well as in a team environment
- Possesses basic knowledge of shop math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, etc.)
- Proven mechanical ability
- Reads and understands blueprints
- Exhibits basic computer skills
- Technical troubleshooting experience
- Is willing to work on any of the three shifts, as required (including overtime coverage)
