Job Title: Transportation / Freight Manager (Direct Hire)
Job Type: Full Time / Direct Hire

Shift: Day shift, Mon-Fri
Company: This is a position with a well-established company, which has been in business for decades.
Pay: Up to $60K

The Job Duties:
- Manages 10 drivers and 10 loading personnel
- Dispatching freights, managing loads and freights
- Work onsite at customer location, with customer’s 3PL
- Conducts training for new personnel to department as directed by management.
- Ensures optimum utilization of company assets while meeting the daily needs of the customer.
- Must be familiar with the rates so can assist management on pricing and sales strategies.
- Ability to manage customer's load allocations and monitor progress weekly/monthly/quarterly.
- Possesses intermediate market knowledge of customers, rates, and lanes in dispatch areas responsible for.
- Manages multiple customer TMS (Transportation Management System) systems and has the ability to multitask with all of them on a daily basis.
- Responsible for working with OTR Logistics on load/trucks distribution.
- Understands and works with multi SCAC (Standard Carrier Alpha Code) codes with multiple customers.
- Assists in the ongoing review and continuous improvement KPI process.
- Ensures company confidentiality.
Background Profile:
- 3+ years of management experience – transportation, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing preferred
- Comfortable with computers – will utilize a Transportation Management System, some payroll software, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required
