In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with senior and litigation attorneys, gaining valuable mentorship while handling meaningful legal work from day one. Your responsibilities will include providing legal counsel to clients, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, and managing client files to ensure accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities: • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently • Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients • Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys • Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff • Meet with clients to discuss their claims • Assess cases involving discrimination, sexual harassment, FMLA, overtime disputes, and wrongful termination • Manage the claims procedure and litigation process efficiently • Participate in negotiations for settlements • Maintain regular communication with staff and managers to coordinate appointments and discussions • Prepare necessary legal documents such as notice of claims, EEOC charges, and state charge forms • Collaborate with EEOC investigators to provide evidence and support for cases Qualifications: • Candidates must have passed the bar exam • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA) • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 yearly
