To support our operations and maintain accurate financial records, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper to join our team. This role offers flexibility to work from home while playing an important part in the success of our inn.
The Remote Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and preparing financial reports. You will ensure compliance with accounting standards while supporting the management team with timely and accurate bookkeeping services.
Record daily financial transactions and reconcile accounts
Maintain general ledgers, balance sheets, and financial statements
Process accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Assist with payroll preparation and related tax filings
Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
Support management with budgeting and expense tracking
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred)
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or similar role
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
