Summary:
rtNOW is a pioneer in bringing highly qualified telerespiratory therapists to the front of pulmonary care. Remote positive airway pressure device set ups are a growing field requiring individuals with experience and expertise in educating and assisting patients with their PAP machines. This position interfaces with patients, assisting them with all their PAP needs. The position is virtual and is an area of service that allows respiratory therapists to interact directly with patients who have pulmonary diseases.
Excellent communication skills via telephone, video chat, text or email are expected. Attention to detail, prompt, and accurate work is expected to serve both patients and support physician clinic staff deliver virtual remote patient monitoring follow up to avoid readmissions and to teach and support the patient. Respiratory therapists hired for this position work remotely and will be responsible for computer technology and stable Wifi access and will provide their own computer support.
Position responsibilities:
- Receive a patient into the adherence process
- Assess patients needs for achieving adherence based on information supplied by set up RT, EHR, and other data sources
- Per protocol, create a communication plan with the patient
- Clinical support for internal team members to answer questions/resolve issues
- Maintain medical databases, ensuring complete and accurate data recording and documentation
- Follow the chain of command and chain of communication to report important information back to the team lead and/or client
- Independently work to find solutions to problems
- Understanding of all CPAP/BiPAP equipment and be willing to train on new devices as needed
Requirements
Required:
- Minimum Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Registered Respiratory Therapy credential
- State licensure(s) in assigned service location as needed
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Computer / Laptop with operating system no greater than 6 years old
- Internet browser and desktop application use skills
- Follows policy and procedures to complete tasks
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines Home health / durable medical equipment expertise

Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday with occasional weekend availability needed
- Varied hours to meet the needs of the patients and business
- Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Hours: Days/Evening/Every 4th Saturday rotation from 9am-1pm
